The Food Pantry solicits, stores, and distributes food for the community as referred to it by the JCCM office. Some of the funding received by JCCM is used to purchase additional food and to provide adequate supplies for cleaning, personal hygiene, and baby products for distribution to the community. JCCM also receives U.S.D.A. commodities. All food pantry applicants are first interviewed at the JCCM office. Food for emergency situations that arise outside of the regular operating hours can also be provided.
The Food Pantry can assist up to 3 times in a 6 month period.

The Clothing Closet
The Clothing Closet is open The Clothing Closet provides good, clean used clothing for all ages and sizes. Clothing for emergency situations that arise outside of the regular operating hours can also be provided.

The Clothing Closet can assist up to 3 outfits per person in your family, per month.

Limited Financial Assistance on Essential Expenses
Rent, utilities, heating fuel, gasoline, and medicine. (Go to the DHHR first for Rent, utilities, and heating fuel).
Medication Assistance
Jefferson County Community Ministries offers two kinds of medication assistance:
For immediate medication needs, we may directly pay for non-narcotic prescriptions.
For long term medication needs, we offer assistance in finding resources for free or discounted medications offered through the various manufacturers’ pharmaceutical assistance programs. To qualify, a prescription from the physician, a list of current medications, proof of residency, and current ID is required.
