Intake is the first contact everyone has when they come to JCCM. Whether you are making a donation, visiting the building, or seeking services, you will likely talk to someone from Intake.
When people come to JCCM for services, they have a short interview with an intake worker. This includes basic identifying information about themselves and their family as well as a brief discussion about their finances and what circumstances brought them to JCCM. The intake worker works with the client to determine what services might be most helpful and if they qualify for those services.
Some of the services that Intake can offer include food, clothing, rental eviction assistance, utility termination assistance, bus passes for interviews and doctor appointments, gas assistance, home heating assistance, and help with paying for medications.
If you are in need of services, come to JCCM between 9am and 11:45am – remember, it takes some time to complete the interview, and we close at 12pm.
Intake is always in need of compassionate, detail oriented volunteers as well. If you’d like to volunteer, click here.
