Annette has lived in Jefferson County for most of her life except when she and her mother moved to Washington, DC for a few years while her father was in the Army. She graduated from Jefferson High School, and attended Valley College online and received certification in Medical Billing and Coding. She was employed at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC for 20 years as an Administrative Assistant to the BSW and MSW Programs. She then accepted a job at WVU Medicine and held various positions within the organization for 20 years. She has always had a passion for helping people. Working in Washington, DC she saw so much homelessness, and she always wanted to help homeless people due to related struggles in her own life. After leaving WVU Medicine, She heard about JCCM and went to work for them as a Cold Weather Shelter Manager in 2020 and then accepted a position as a Case Manager for homeless clients and Jefferson County residents that need help with various services in 2021. She feels that she joined a team of phenomenal directors, managers and co-workers. JCCM provides exceptional services to our homeless clientele, community, staff and different partners throughout West Virginia. Here she has found a job she really LOVES. And in her spare time, she enjoys her grandchildren, reading, family and friends.
